Baby billboard

I have no words: Baby Billboard

The suburban Philadelphia mom-to-be is inviting advertisers to put their names on her child's clothing and baby goods, saying the ads are sure to get noticed.

"Everyone looks at babies. We're going to be out and about all the time," said Michele Hutchison, 26, whose second child is due in June.

Hutchison, a stay-at-home mother, has placed notices on the Web sites Craigslist and eBay seeking bids of at least $1,000 for the rights for one month.

She got the idea after learning of a woman who offered to have advertisements tattooed on her body.

Spring allergies

Nothing breaks my balls like a spring allergy.

The last couple of years I have gotten worse and worse “spring allergies”. Waking up with a runny nose and sneezing like mad. A major pain when you drive motor cycle to work. Especially since I seem to have a design bug: I close my eyes when I sneeze...

Waking up the hard way

The last dial at the back of my alarm clock went missing after countless falls to the floor. I lost it at the worst possible moment: when the alarm was set at 6:30.

With no way to adjust the time or the alarm, I have been forced to wake up by torture the last few days: the clock rings, I hit snooze, it rings again, I hit snooze again and so on. I repeat until I get fed up or for half an hour whatever happens first.

Deadly hot chilli sauce

Ultra-concentrated “16 Million Reserve” is hot:

It is made from pure capsaicin, the chemical that makes peppers “hot”:

Although capsaicin does not actually burn - it fools your brain into thinking that you are in pain by stimulating nerve endings in your mouth - some medical experts believe that it could kill an asthmatic or hospitalise a user who touched his eyes or other sensitive parts of the anatomy.
"The pain was exquisite," he said. "It was like having your tongue hit with a hammer. Man, it hurt. My tongue swelled up and it hurt like hell for days."

Friday 13th

Today is Friday 13th and it shows: I found my first grey hair :-(

Symbian based Nokia phones seem to be off by one day as three Nokia phones died in my office yesterday:

  • Nokia 6600: boots to white screen

  • Nokia 6600: shows 'Phone application closed' before it shows a 'please contact your vendor' message

  • Nokia 3650: goes in a never ending loop rebooting when it starts

They were bought in the same period so the conspiracy theory is that Nokia has a self destruction timer. Others believe it's a virus. Whatever the cause; 3 Nokia phones died the same day in an office with 8 people...

PhotoMann recently started collecting images of Japanese vending machines. With 5.6 million vending machines totaling sales of $56 billion in 2000 there is something for everyone:

  • toilet paper
  • rice cleaner for farmers
  • fishing tools and bait
  • water salad
  • used schoolgirl panties
  • Rhinoceros beetles
  • eggs
  • and of course loads of cigarettes, booze and porn
